WELCOME TO GINGER

 

As you will see, our OHV database GINGER is still a work-in-progress. Below are a few samples of the types of data searches that will be available on the web site once GINGER is completed and up and running.

Up to now, survey information has been collected by volunteers in the field on a Route Conditions Worksheet. A Great Old Broads database administrator has validated and entered the data in the database. File names of accompanying digital pictures have been changed as necessary to agree with the corresponding field in the database, and reduced-size copies of the photos have been made at suitable dimensions for display on a web page. In the future, we hope to allow collaborating groups to post their observations and photographs over the web to a temporary database and photo archive. The database administrator would then validate and enter the observations in GINGER. Though the database administrator has a sophisticated interface for entering data with many aids and defaults, we don't yet have a web-based analog.
